Safeguarding and Privacy
SCIAF’s Vision, Mission and Values statement sets out our commitment to the rights and dignity of each person; this includes children, young people and adults at risk. We are aware of the need to make explicit and visible our determination that SCIAF’s work and activities must promote the safety and security of children, young people and adults at risk.
- Any members details are only visible to the individual members themselves and the CMS admins monitoring the users. This practice means that personal details have restricted access which is available only to the user, SCIAF’s Online Marketing Officer and Schools Officer.
- No additional communication can be made between users via the youth website i.e. no private conversations are permitted.
- All collection and use of data should be appropriate and in line with data protection legislation
