Wee Box 15

Pupils from Holyrood Secondary School joined us at Merchant Square to launch this year's WEE BOX BIG CHANGE Lenten appeal.

They're one of many schools that generously support our Lenten appeal each year and the pupils were put through their paces as they were photographed and interviewed by journalists and reporters about how their school would be raising awareness about the appeal this year. Look out for them on TV, radio and in the newspapers!

Holyrood Secondary have a long history of taking part in the 24 hour fast and this year will be no different. Pupils will be sponsored to go without food for 24 hours with the aim of raising money for those most in need throughout South America, Africa and Asia. The school will also collect donations in their WEE BOXES.

Many of the pupils were also committing to give up chocolate and sweets for Lent with money saved going to the WEE BOX appeal.

A big thank you to all the pupils and to Mrs O'Reilly and Mr Wilson who joined us today and all the best with the fast!
