Sponsored Walk raises £1429.95
Pupils in St Bernadette’s Primary Tullibody were really delighted to welcome Mark Booker, SCIAF School Officer, back into our school.
We would also like to thank him for coming in to spend time with us during Lent and teaching us about the hard work SCIAF does to help others in need.
It made us very sad to realise how difficult life is for others.
During Lent, we continued to learn about life in the Chocó region of Colombia.
We realised we do not appreciate how lucky we are compared to some of the families in Colombia who only have one small meal per day.
We decide we would like to help so organised a whole school sponsored walk which took place on Wednesday 2nd April.
We tried really hard to get our families and friends to support us so we could raise lots of money to help SCIAF support families living in poverty.
In our classes, to prepare for our walk, we made Colombian flags to carry and decorated our clothes in Colombian colours. This was to show our support for the families in Colombia.
We had great fun doing our sponsored walk and were joined by family and friends.
We are very happy that we are able to support the great work SCIAF does and we hope the £1429.95 we raised will help to make a difference.
